Our Vision

In 2016, famed biologist EO Wilson released his book, Half Earth. He outlines an ambitious vision where half the Earth is set aside for nature to flourish. We at BRS believe that humanity can do better than half. We can, and should, return the vast majority of land to nature.

 

We envision a world in which everyone will have access to the great bountiful beauty of the natural world at their doorstep. We envision a world where millennia of human induced damage are undone and nature and humanity are allowed to flourish. 

 

Through recent technological advancements, we are working to develop systems that can enable rapid and large-scale environmental restoration and encourage the development of a circular economy that will not exploit the surrounding environment. We believe that through dramatic but achievable technological and economic change, we can overcome the climate crisis and build a better, wilder world.
